About vttrailgirl

I love trail running. I especially love running with my dog, Aggie. If I can run an ultra, so can you.

    This is a great start.

I look forward to hearing more on how we, as a community, can be prepared for future periods of heavy rain and periods of drought that are happening now because of climate change.

At the Fall festival I had a conversation with someone from the CCC about riparian conservation work, for instance. Any news on that?

      Hi Laurel,
Thanks for the note. The potential impact from storm damage as well as other weather events is an ongoing topic. The speakers programs we have offered address those topics indirectly, we can see if there are other speakers that might have more specifics.

The Ottaquechee Natural Resource Conservation District (www.onrcd.org/‎) is looking for interested landowners who would be willing to allow trees planted on their land in a riparian area. Are you a landowner interested in plantings?

If you send along your email, we can make sure you get additional mailings from the CCC. We hope to have notes posted more regularly at this site. Thanks for your interest.
